Nutrition and Cooking Demo Lecture Series

 

O Baby Bar began its first of many Nutrition lectures and cooking demonstrations on Wednesday night.

The evening event began at 7:30 pm at the home of Nutritionist and founder, I|yse W. Ptter, MS.

Guests were greeted with a Ruby Red grapefruit and lime Sangria, a fresh crisp crudites of organic raw vegetable and a scratch made baked eggplant hummus dip.

O Baby Bar Natural Chefs, Brandon Drake and Hilary Lipner introduced themselves and prepared two types of kale chips  for everyone which were sampled and enjoyed.

As the guests stood around enjoying cocktails and appetizers, they looked on at the Chefs preparing the nutrient dense flavorful meal of Tom Kha Gai soup which is a Traditional soup from Thailand usually prepared with meat.  O Baby Bar Chef Brandon Drake prepared it with Tofu, bok choy, mushrooms, coconut milk and many unique spices.

The base of the soup was O Baby Bar’s “Immune boosting Vegan Broth” made with ten different types of mushrooms and root vegetables. O Baby Bar uses its broth in many recipes from baby foods and soups, to smoothies sauces, and dips.

Ilyse explained the uses for the broth, available for purchase on the O Baby Bar website.

The Chefs Brandon Drake and Hilary Lipner continue to entice guests with their meal preparation, while Founder, Ilyse Petter shares the nutritional benefits of all of the ingredients used.

Everyone sits down to enjoy the palate pleasing soup, followed by a vegan chocolate mousse with coconut whip for dessert.

Guests went home with samples of broth and dehydrated fruit leather and apple chips for the O Baby Bar “babies and kids”
